Procedure and time limits - keep in the game

Employment Law in Practice

Do not miss time limits.  An internal appeal procedure is the first step, if there is time before issuing a claim.  Always, remember that if the appeal is not successful or you have not resolved the matter then the next step is the employment tribunal.  You have just three months after dismissal to make a claim at the employment tribunal - this time limit can be enforced strictly.  There was a recent case that a claim was made just a couple of minutes after the time limit and it was rejected.
